If you do not have a proper seal on your door the cold air will leak from the refrigerator all day and night. This will in turn cause more wear and tear on your compressors and other components. Not to mention the added electricity used 24 hours per day. Another reason is to ensure the quality and freshness for your food items that are stored inside . If the air is not staying in the box it will never keep your desired temperate. One more reason is sanitation. Over time bacteria can form on the gasket material if not properly maintained.

How Do I Make My Gaskets Last?
This is actually very simple. A quick wipe of all your gaskets each day after closing with simple antibacterial soap and water is all you need. DO NOT use any bleaching agents or degreasers as this will harden the materials and or make them gummy or sticky to touch.

How Often Do I Need To Replace My Gaskets?
This is completly up to you. Depending on the volume of business you do and how well mantained you keep you seals will determan how often you should replace them. Some of our customers call us once per year to replace all of the gaskets in house to ensure that there are no issues. Others call when they start to see any tearing or gapping on any patricular unit. We are happy to come out and inpect them for you at any time.
